Embalming Licensure Course

Course Outline: Module I: Anatomy and Physiology Embalmers are expected to understand the basic and gross human anatomy, its normal function and changes that may be brought by disease process and death. Module II: Microbiology and Parasitology Basic understanding of nature of microorganisms, their habitat, clusters and categorization and their relationship to other host. Module III: Practice of Embalming Technical knowledge on Embalming procedure pursuant to the guidelines set by the Department of Health. Methods of Embalming Module IV: Hygiene and Sanitation To carry out the embalming procedure at the most hygienic means possible thereby protecting the practitioner’s health and protecting the health of the community. Module V: Ethics and Jurisprudence Presidential Decree 856 (Sanitation Code of the Philippines Chapter 21) outlines the laws and guidelines needed to be observed in carrying out the embalmer’s role: Module VI: Cosmetic Application
