The China Funeral Association is established in 1989 to take care of the funeral industry under the guidance of The Ministry of Civil Affairs of the Chinese government. Amongst the 34 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, 31 domestic associations have been set up in various areas. These local associations help to advocate the reform and development of domestic funeral business. Currently nation-wise there are 701 member companies and individual members, plus 186 directors, 50 out of which are Executive Directors. CFA serves as the bridge and hub to the funeral sector in China.
